AI For The People at SXSW 2023

AI for the People at SXSW - Learn, discuss, and network on AI, technology, policy, and our future.

Bringing the policy and SXSW innovation ecosystems together to hear from each other, explore new AI tools with expert guidance, and build lasting relationships – while having a good time in a creative, fun environment. You'll join discussions with Members of Congress, the Biden Administration, AI startups, researchers, academia, and many more!

We discussed the potential for the adoption of existing narrow technologies and the shift of AI towards sophisticated more general tools (e.g. GPTs and diffusion models) that people are using at record rates for real-world tasks. Also, what this means for policymakers, academics, students, and the innovation ecosystems of different communities – and the potential of new federal initiatives.
