Q. Describe one way how a skill you learned in a previous job helped you in your new job. While at the R Street Institute I had the opportunity to help develop broad coalitions of groups and individuals to work together for a particular cause. The skillset necessary to run an effective coalition has often come into play here at the FCC.

Q. Job advice in three words? Always ask questions (you never know unless you ask)

Q. How are you (or your company, org, nonprofit) currently bridging the gap between politics and tech? In the Chairman's office we try to cultivate open lines of communication with various parties – whether that’s with consumer groups, industry, or other interested voices in the tech and telecommunications space.

Q. Morning routine? Start the coffee, walk the dog, and read a few stories all before Morning Joe begins. 

Q. Living person you admire? Russell Moore

Q. Best advice you’ve received? Your 20s and 30s are when you are typically the most creative and energetic. Don’t waste that time tangled in office politics, but go out and make a difference.
