TheBridge events are unique. They drive a conversation between the public and private sector, promote understanding and collaboration while catalyzing meaningful and lasting connections. Our events range from intimate discussions among industry leaders, working groups and roundtables, to larger events broadcast live on C-SPAN-TV and have attracted all major outlets including PBS Newshour, Bloomberg, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, Recode, Politico, among others.

AI Across America: Chicago

Join SeedAI, the Congressional AI Caucus, TheBridge and Congresswoman Robin Kelly on August 4,2022.

At AI Across America: Chicago, you'll hear from:

  • Congresswoman Robin Kelly, Vice Chair of the Energy and Commerce Committee and Co-Chair of the Tech Accountability Caucus

  • NSF Assistant Director Erwin Gianchandani, the inaugural lead for NSF's Technology, Innovation and Partnerships directorate, and program lead.

The policy event is at the South Shore Cultural Center and starts at 1:30pm. We'll have speakers with Q&A and a keynote panel followed by 5 concurrent breakout sessions, focused on:

  • What strategies do we need for AI to avoid historic pitfalls of tech adoption?

  • What are key barriers to participation, who is impacted, and how do we adjust?

  • How can we bring in those who are interested in the field of AI but don’t know how to join?

  • How do we encourage collaboration and safe spaces that spark greater interest?

  • How can communities best leverage new, non-traditional public investment programs?

Afterwards, we'll have a networking reception at a beautiful to-be-revealed space near West Loop.
