Describe how one skill you learned in a previous job helped you in current new job. Before making the jump to PR, I was a Capitol Hill reporter -- a job that taught me to be an active listener, ask questions, stay curious and be tenacious. It also taught me how to procrastinate while meeting deadlines and how to write concise and compelling copy.

Q. Job advice in three words? Maintain your network.

Q. How are you (or your company, org, nonprofit) currently bridging the gap between politics and tech? JUST is on a mission to build a food system where everyone eats well and we’re leveraging the vast plant kingdom, world-class scientists, cutting-edge automation and Michelin starred chefs to achieve that lofty goal. Doing things differently in an industry that’s been largely the same for decades is bound to present challenges, some of them regulatory in nature. Ultimately, in order to be successful, JUST needs policymakers, conventional food companies, global agribusiness and meat producers to collaborate with us to create a more sensible, sustainable food system for generations to come.
