Q. Favorite spot for a coffee meeting. Reveille in Mission Bay because they also have wine for those days when coffee doesn't quite cut it.
Q. Describe one way a skill you learned in a previous job has helped you in your new job. Working in politics was the perfect preparation for joining a start up. Even though we're bigger now than when I joined four years ago, Lyft still moves at a pace that's much more like a campaign than a corporation. It's part of what I love about the company and my job.
Q. Job advice in three words? Listen then act
Q. How are you (or your company, org, nonprofit) currently bridging the gap between politics and tech? Working on policy communications, I'm part of a team whose job it is to help educate policymakers about the benefits Lyft's technology can bring to their constituents and communities.
Q. Most underrated virtue in an employee? Self awareness
Q. Favorite restaurant? My husband and I do date night at Nob Hill Cafe, a tiny old school Italian place on the top of Nob Hill. The pasta is fresh and the house red is $5.
Q. Best advice you’ve received? Know what you really want. It sounds simple, but it can be hard when you don't want to close any doors or miss out on opportunities. But getting rid of the noise and being brave enough to make choices is often the only way forward.
