Q. Describe one way how a skill you learned in a previous job helped you in your new job: At one of my jobs, I worked on creating networks in states for a Presidential Campaign-bringing people together for a common purpose and discussing ways to become involved really helped me with all of my jobs going forward.

Q. Job advice in three words? Ask for help

Q. How are you (or your company, org, nonprofit) currently bridging the gap between politics and tech? Our firm is definitely working together to show how politics, government and public policy can influence different industries. My colleagues and I work with tech companies and advocates to navigate those influential players in the space and work together. I have really enjoyed having this conversations and opening doors for collaboration.

Q. Morning routine?I think the morning routine always involves going through news sources and outlets to find out what is happened ing and what is new- always with plenty of coffee!

Q. Most underrated virtue in an employee? I think initiative is an underrated virtue in any employee- I think those that do there work and then seek out how to help others are always someone I want on my team.

Q. Living person you admire? I especially admire my former boss Secretary John Kerry, he is an incredible strategic thinker and a true definition of diplomacy- I learned so incredibly much from him.

Q. What can Silicon Valley teach DC and what can DC teach Silicon Valley? I think the Hill can learn a lot from the Valley and the Valley from the Hill- I think the innovation and risk taking from the Valley is interesting to apply to the public policy world but at the same time the work in DC to solve problems and make life better for people and create a system that our values are shared in our work- we just have to not only hear people but really listen!
