Q. Favorite spot for a coffee meeting? I try to visit local coffee shops when I travel. I like new places.
Q. Describe how a skill you learned in a previous job has helped you in your current job. The attention to detail that I learned while serving active duty helped me in my current job.
Q. Job advice in three words? Never Stop Learning.
Q. How are you (or your company) currently bridging the gap between innovation and regulation? My company, Paragon Cyber Solutions, is currently the only company in Tampa with a Cybersecurity Apprenticeship program approved by the Department of Education and Department of Veterans Affairs.
Q. What can innovators learn from policymakers? To have some boundaries.
Q. What can policymakers learn from innovators? To be open minded and consider additional factors in their decision making.
Q. Favorite book that you recommend to TheBridge community? My favorite book is Think & Grow Rich.
Q. Everyday is probably different, but can you describe a "day in the life" of your job? Motivate my team, ensure my clients are satisfied, provide mentorship, conduct volunteer work on boards, and promote cybersecurity awareness.
Q. Living person you admire? I admire Oprah for all that she has accomplished. I met her several years ago at a conference in DC and got a photo with her. I will never forget it!
Q. Are you working from home? I work from home almost every day. I try to stay off of my computer on Sundays for family time.
Q. What is the best advice you have received? The best advice that I've received is "If you don't like something, do something to change it instead of complaining about it. Take action."
