Uncommon Conversations: National Geographic's Women of Impact

TheBridge partnered with Women of Color Advancing Peace and Security (WCAPS), Google and National Geographic on the first event in the WCAPS discussion series "Uncommon Conversations." This discussion series provides women of color and allies who work in tech the opportunity to candidly discuss issues at the intersection of technology, cybersecurity, and society in an intimate and invite-only setting.

This was an exclusive screening of National Geographic's new movie Women of Impact, a film highlighting barrier-breaking women including Robin Roberts, Dr. Jane Goodall, and Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant. Dr. Wynn-Grant, who joined for a discussion on her professional path. Women came to share their journey and strategize with the other attendees on how to be a Woman of Impact in male-dominated industries. Watch the trailer for Women of Impact movie here:

______

Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant is a large carnivore ecologist with an expertise in using field biology, statistics, and mapping to investigate how human activity influences carnivore behavior and ecology.
