Q. Job advice in three words? (It) Comes Back Around. (Take the time to build your network and help others. It comes back around to you when it is most needed. It is also fulfilling and empowering.)
Q. Favorite spot for a coffee meeting? Any convenient place - one that doesn't put me in too much San Francisco traffic!
Q. Describe one way how a skill you learned in a previous job helped you in your new job. I started my career in politics and have found all of the skills I honed during those years have translated to each job I've assumed since. That includes working alongside a principle and organizing and managing surrogates and/or constituents. From politicians to the Jonas Brothers, those skills were central to my success.
Q. How are you (or your company, org, nonprofit) currently bridging the gap between politics and tech? I wouldn't say that my company is actively bridging the gap between politics and tech; however, it has found itself in an interesting position of dealing with fake news in the Trump era and this politically charged environment.
Q: Most underrated virtue in an employee? I'm not sure this would be the most underrated but it seems to be hard to come by... following through and executing on projects put in front of you. I'm often surprised by how quickly those in tech move on to the next shiny object instead of fully following through with a project.
Q: Last time you were completely unplugged? I am not sure that I have ever been completely unplugged since having my first cell phone. It is something I would like to work on more in the coming year.
Q: How do you unwind after work? Spend time with my 2 1/2 year old. Currently, that means going to the park or watching her current obsession, Moana!
